About Our Trainer:
Dr. A. Breeze Harper is a senior diversity and inclusion strategist for Critical Diversity Solutions (www.criticaldiversitysolutions.com), a seasoned speaker, and author of books and articles related to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the ethical consumption sector. As a writer, she is best known for the groundbreaking book "Sistah Vegan: Black Female Vegans Speak on Food, Identity, Health and Society" (Lantern Books 2010). Dr. Harper has given many keynote addresses and diversity trainings throughout North America, including PetSmart Charities, Mercy for Animals, the Humane Society of the US, and Wesleyan University. She has helped organizations implement DEI strategies with plant-based consumption in mind. In 2016, she collaborated with Oaklands FoodFirsts Executive Director Dr. Eric Holt-Gimenez to write the backgrounder "Dismantling Racism in the Food System", which kicked off FoodFirsts series on systemic racism within the food system.
